Rail tank Lorica Segmentata, type Newstead

Very authentic reconstruction of the Roman track tank, so called Lorica Segmentata, type Newstead. The Lorica Segmentata was in use in the Roman army for at least 200 years.
The Newstead type is named after the village of the same name in southern Scotland.
There was the former Roman camp Trimontium, in the remains of which the model for our reconstruction was found.
the model for our reconstruction was found. Unlike the earlier variants from Corbridge and Kalkriese, the Newstead armor is not adjustable, but fixed in size. The four segments of the armor are assembled by neatly worked out hooks
and push-through joints.

Our replica fits a wearer up to about 112 cm chest circumference.
Of course, the final circumference should always be measured over all (padded) clothing.
