Viking tunkia black "Snorri" with hand embroidery in Urnes style
Our offered Viking tunic black "Snorri" is made of 100% coarse cotton and was dyed with vegetable dye. At the neckline and at the ends of the sleeves hand embroidery in Urnes style decorate this Viking top. The Urnes style is a style of the Viking Age that first emerged in the second half of the 11th century and was in use until the beginning of the 12th century. Before that, Viking art was strongly influenced by the Ringerike style. The Urnes style is known for its fine intertwined depictions of animals.
On both sides, this medieval tunic has a 10 cm slit each, which not only allows it to fit snugly to your body, but also adds a stylish touch by doing so. The neckline is also slit (which makes it easy to slip in) and can then be closed with a brooch for a more noble look. The tunic is well suited for LARP, reenactment and events with disguises such as carnival. With matching accessories such as a belt, bag, horn holder or Viking jewelry, you are well equipped for the next medieval market.
Please note: Only the tunic is sold - the accessories (as described and seen in the photos) are not included, but can be purchased separately.

This garment is based on the wide and loose cut garb of the Middle Ages, so it falls at first glance rather large. This is intentional, because it is waisted with the help of a belt, so that the fabric can be gathered over it. This creates a typical medieval look. If your own height is between two sizes, it might be more suitable to choose one size smaller.
Belt and other accessories are not included, but can be purchased separately in our store.
