Viking Trefoil-Shaped Cloak Ornament from Vrnamo
In the Viking Age cloverleaf brooches were part of the garment and served not only for decorative but also for useful purposes. Mostly they were worn by women in the middle of the chest to close the garment like a coat. They were also often worn in combination with 2 matching bowl or hump fibulae.
On the backside there is a stable needle and an eyelet to attach a chain.
