Special item late medieval gauntlet boots natural brown
High late medieval gauntlet boot natural brown with three leather straps and buckle replicas made of brass.
The upper leather nestles nicely after greasing but is extremely sturdy. Medieval boots like this can be found in numerous late medieval paintings and have also been found many times. Gauntlet boots appeared in the late Middle Ages, but were worn with variations until the 18th century.
The gauntlets were sewn on so that the upper leather of the gauntlet faced outward. This allows more possibilities for multicolor dyeing. The shoes come untreated so can still be dyed or just greased.
These shoes come from a misproduction, because they were made with a nailed double sole, which we do not normally offer. Accordingly, they are new and have no other defects.
