A natural sharpening stone made of mudstone. Mudstones arise when clay and silt particles condense over time. A traditional sharpening stone in vietnam, where this stone is coming from. 100% natural product. It is cut in form but unless synthetic sharpening stones it is not 100% even.
Due to its granulation 6000 it is good for very sharp results but the knife should have a base grinding. Totally blunt blades need to be grinded with a coarser grit first and finished with this stone. But in most cases, you realize your carbon steel kitchen knife becomes less sharp and then this product is exactly what you need.
Application: You put the stone on a even and steady surface on a non-slip base (e.g. cellular rubber) and poor some water on the top. Then you start moving the blade in the desired angle on the stone.
