Scottish Targe from the Battle of Culloden

This Scottish Targe is really a piece of history!

Sign maker William Lindsay from Perth made hundreds of targs for the army of Charles Edward Stuart during the Jacobin revolt. The original of the replica was most likely also made by him
Today, the sign is located in a museum named "The Royal Armouries" in the Tower of London.

The target has a shield boss.
The shield was completely covered with leather. The leather has a Celtic embossing.
It is decorated with rich rivets, which fix the leather on the shield
