Schnitzel Protekto, cut protection gloves for children
We were frequently asked whether we could not also supply matching cut protection gloves for our SCHNITZEL children's knives. This presented us with a very special challenge. These children's carving gloves should of course not only fit well with us and our carving knives, but above all meet the highest standards of protection and safety for our little outdoor heroes. In addition, we have set ourselves the goal that these gloves also as work gloves and in the outdoor area to perform an excellent service. Here it was particularly important to us that the inner surface of the children's gloves would have to be so grippy that it is irrelevant for their proper use whether they are just wet or dry.
After more than two years of work and development, we are very pleased to present to you the SCHNITZEL Protekto cut-resistant gloves for children, which combine all the above features.

Clear rules when carving with children:
Since a knife, is a sharp object, clear rules should be established from the beginning. While our products are perfectly designed for small hands, certain safety precautions should still be observed:
1.) Always carve sitting down, because it is true: Who carves, who sits!
2.) The correct body posture when carving: For a secure hold, the feet rest firmly on the floor when sitting with the legs wide apart. The upper body is slightly bent forward and the arms rest on the thighs.
3.) When carving, always keep two arm lengths (about one meter) safe distance from other people.
4.) Carving with a sharpened blade minimizes the risk of injury because less pressure must be applied.
5.) The carving motion should always be away from the body.
6.) After carving, the blade is safely stowed in the sheath.
7.) The bark of living trees is taboo.
Generally, carving should always be supervised by an adult. In addition, the role model function of parents also applies here: Who does not conscientiously exemplify the rules, runs the risk that the child also does not adhere to the safety precautions.
