Medieval tunic made of cotton, red
This tunic is based on a find which is dated to the 11th century. It was made of cotton and has hand-stitched decorative stitches. The fancy cut of the sleeves ensures that the upper arm is wide and the forearm is cut normally.
The Nederfrederiksmose bog body was found in 1898 near the village Kragelund in Denmark. The so-called Man of Kragelund is the first bog body to be photographically documented at the site where it was found. To the tunic he wore short leather boots and had bare legs.
