Italian Sallet ca. 1440 made of 2 mm thick steel - battle ready
This helmet is a replica based on a find from northern Italy around 1440. The original is today exhibited in the Wallace Collection in London.
It was made of 2 mm thick steel from 2 parts. The two halves were carefully welded together.
A leather chinstrap and a padded fabric inlay were used to attach it to the head.
