houndskull bascinet ca.1400 made of 2 mm thick steel - battle ready
This helmet was manufactured after an original from the year approx. 1400/1410 in the north Italian Milan.The Hundsgugel was popular with noble knights and warriors until about 1420.
It is made of 2 mm thick steel and was hand-driven, welded and riveted.
The helmet has a visor that can be folded up and two also foldable temples in the neck and chest area.
Holes were predrilled at the edge, in order to be able to attach a chain stand easily.
For the attachment on the head, a chinstrap made of leather, as well as a comfortable, padded inlay was worked in.
