Warm sleeping bag for 2 adults. Very beautiful sleepingbag of 100% wool that was hand-woven with hand-spun cotton on a traditional wooden loom. The sleeping bags are spun out of one piece, depending on the size therer are more parts sewed to each other, as there were only narrow looms in mideval times. The sleeping bags are produced just as in mideval times.
The wool comes from sheep from the region and is only washed with spring water which contains the valuable lanolin (fat) which keeps the sleeping bags insensitive to stains and waterproofed. The wool is not dyed except of the orange, red stripes on some of them. These stripes were dyed with natural materials such as onions.
Due to the tight weaving, the heavy quality and the woolfat the sleeping bags are very heat insulating and keep dry and warm even while rain. The bags are essential for every camp! The sleepingbags are available in 4 sizes.

The picture always shows the small sleeping bag. The other sizees look the same just differ in the size. The sleeping bags are produced in a family company in the Maramures-mountains. In this coompany all th egenerations of the family work on the production and everything is handmade. The sorting of the wool and the sewing of the sleeping bags are made there. We try to secure the existence of this family by selling their beautiful blankets as the family is doing this for many generations and there are hard times for them in times of industries.
