This chain mail shirt or Haubergeon was made of round rings, which were riveted by means of round rivets (round rivet heads).
Every single ring was closed by hand. The braiding is 4 in 1.

The name "Haubergeon" is given to this chainmail shirt, because it is a half to short sleeved chainmail shirt, which reaches straight to the thigh.
