Viking seax knife made of damask steel
This beautiful sax knife is made of 256 layers of damask steel and has a sharp blade. The handle is made of wood and horn, the ferrule and the end are made of brass. Please note that the handle is a pure natural product and the grain may vary slightly from the picture shown. The eyelet at the end of the knife gives the possibility to attach a band.
The sheath is made of vegetable tanned leather, which has been dyed brown. It is richly decorated with beautiful brass fittings.
The carrying system was designed comfortably as well as artistically, as it was also widely used in the Viking Age. The strap distributor served to ensure that it was and is at the optimal angle for a comfortable and easy pulling out of the knife.
