Chainmail shirt or Hauberk made of unriveted rings, burnished, Ĝ 8 mm
This chainmail shirt or Hauberk was made from unriveted rings. The surface of the rings was burnished (blackened) and therefore offers a certain protection against rust. The braiding is 4 in 1.
Available in 3 different sizes!
In the Middle Ages this chainmail shirt was called "Hauberk" because of its long sleeves and knee length.
The sleeves are tapered, they became tighter by 1 ring every 5 cm.
In the Middle Ages, the chainmail shirt was extended by frontal or lateral slits for better legroom. This even made it possible to ride comfortably on horses.
Our Hauberk is generally not slit, so that it can be adjusted individually.
