Chainmail shirt or Hauberk made of wedge-riveted flat rings, 8 mm
This chainmail shirt or Hauberk was made from flat chain rings and closed with wedge rivets (triangular rivets).
This type of braiding is typical for ring armour of the European late Middle Ages.
Available in 3 different sizes!
In the Middle Ages this chainmail shirt was called "Hauberk" because of its long sleeves and knee length.
The sleeves are tapered, they became tighter by 1 ring every 5 cm.
In the Middle Ages, the chainmail shirt was extended by frontal or lateral slits for better legroom. This even made it possible to ride comfortably on horses.
Our Hauberk is generally not slit, so that it can be adjusted individually.
