Klappvisor bascinet of the 14th century made of 2mm thick steel - battle ready
This show-fighting klappvisor bascinet is a replica of a bascinet with removable folding visor from the 14th century.
It evolved from the great helmet and was usually worn in combination with a chainmail aventail.
It was made of 2mm thick polished steel and consists of 2 parts that were neatly welded together.
The bonnet has drilled holes at the lower edge where a chainmail aventail can be easily attached.
The eye-catching and artistic visor is also made of 2mm thick steel.
For the attachment on the head a high-quality, size-adjustable padding inlet was riveted in.
