Viking spectacle helmet made of 2mm thick steel with chain well - battle ready!
This helmet is a replica of a Viking period spectacle helmet. Remains of a very similar specimen were found in Gjermundbu, Norway and dated to the 10th century.
The helmet was made of 2 mm thick steel and was equipped with a chain well of galvanized steel rings.
A comfortable leather inlay and chinstrap for knotting was worked in for fastening on the head. The glasses were also lined with leather from the inside.
