Viking shoulder bag
Bag handles like these are especially known from the Viking Age. In Haithabu 4 different bag handles, made of maple and ash wood, were found, which had a length of about 18 to 49 cm. Such wooden pocket handles were also used in Birka and Viborg. They are therefore particularly suitable for the representation of the Viking Age.
This shoulder bag is made after a model of a bag hanger from Haithabu, but it is smaller than the original.
The hanger is made of the wood of a pine tree. The bag hanging from it is made of a felt mix of 50% virgin wool and 50% viscose. The strap is made of a hemp rope, which is attached to the eyelets attached to the hanger for this purpose.
