Late medieval buckle and end fitting made of brass

This set of buckle and end fitting is based on a find from the late Middle Ages and made of high-quality cast brass.

The end fitting shows the typical contemporary quatrefoil, which was a Gothic style element.

There are rivet pins on the back (4 on the end fitting, 2 on the buckle), which make it possible to attach the buckle to the belt. To do this, holes are made in the belt at the appropriate place and the rivet pins are inserted through the holes. Then the rivet pins are carefully folded or spread.
