Large serving knife, the grip plates are riveted to the tang. This blade shape has been used as a serving knife provable from 1250 AD and it is on a lot of pictures to see. We know not a real discovery, but many pictures as in the Maciejowski Bible. Is discussed for a long time what this knife was used for, the most obvious explanation is in our opinion that the front notches were used to scrape meat from such as ribs. This works great.
