Medieval Rhineland Jug from the 13th century, 1.2 Liters
This medieval jug, or Rhineland jug, was made after an original, which dates back to the 13th century.
The Kurg is made of built-up ceramics and was made by hand on the potter's wheel. It is a so-called stoneware, which means that it is sintered by high firing temperature. This makes it waterproof and food safe.
