Medieval aquamanile, 10th - 12th century
Made of ceramics, this pingsdorf aquamanile presents an admirable image. Made in imitation of an original of the 10th - 12th century, which was found in Rhineland.
They were made by hand and are not cast. Therefore each Aquamanile is unique. The aquamanile was painted with matt brown engobe (slip), which decorates the sides of the body.
