Anderthalbhänder with scabbard, 15th century
The original of this replica ,which is extremely well preserved, is now in the Paris Musée de Cluny le monde médiéval, the French National Museum of Medieval Art. This sword can be attributed to the 15th century. It indicates that it was made in a southern German sword manufactory.

The spring steel blade extends to the pommel and is bolted to it. The handle and the cross point to the guard are intricately wrapped in leather. The blade cross section has a diamond shape. The blade edge is not sharpened. Die dazugehörige schöne Holzscheide ist mit Leder überzogen.
