Epee of the Munich City Guard
This impressive sword or epee was made after an original of the Munich City Guard of the 17th century. Several originals are still on display in the Bavarian National Museum and can be admired there.
The blade of the sword was made of 1065 steel with a high carbon steel content and is not sharpened.
The pommel and the guard are also made of steel and polished to a shine.
The handle is made of wood, which has been wrapped with a decorative steel wire. The steel wire ensures a firm grip in the Hand.
The sword scabbard made of black leather, place strap and mouth plate is included in the scope of delivery.
