Medieval Knight's Belt, Saint George

This belt was named after Saint George, who was executed in 303 AD for refusing to renounce his Christian faith. He was canonised in 494 AD and later became one of the most revered soldier saints in the 11th-12th centuries.

The belt is made of 4 cm wide, robust leather, which is approx. 2mm thick. The golden brass buckle is depicted with Saint George on horseback killing a dragon with his lance. The brass fittings on the leather belt alternate with heraldic eagles and stylised lilies.
The belt is approx. 135 cm long and comes unpierced. The buckle has a spike on the back which is anchored into the end of the belt to close it.
The end of the belt is included in the delivery and is attached by the customer so that it can be individually adjusted to the circumference. However, the belt can also be punched or simply knotted.
