Basilard or Swiss dagger with punched leather sheath
This well made late medieval dagger was made of carbon steel. It comes with a punched leather sheath made of vegetable tanned leather. A brass verge plate serves as a puncture protection.
The handle is made of walnut wood.
It is a very close interpretation of a find from the late 14th century. However, the Baselard or Swiss dagger itself can be traced back over centuries.
The cut is roughly indicated and the tip is defined. This results in a harmonious appearance for collectors. It is therefore not suitable for show fighting due to the potential for injury.
