Pingsdorf jug from the 12th - 13th century
This Pingsdorf jug was made after an original, which dates back to the 12th - 13th century. The original comes from the Rhineland and at that time were mostly formed on a fast rotating potter's Wheel.
This replica is also authentically formed on a potter's wheel and was then fired and decorated with matte brown engobe (slip). It is therefore not a cast piece.
