Late Medieval Guinegate sword

This sword is a beautiful replica of the sword , which was worn by Emperor Maximilian the First in the Battle of Guinegata around 1513.

The battle is also known as the Battle of the Spurs, due to the sweeping departure of the cavalry from the battlefield.

The sword has a beautiful bone hilt. The hilt rings, the disc pommel, and the distinctive forward-curved quillons are made of solid brass.
