Authentic medieval woollen blanket
With this blanket the cold nights in the camp are over! This cosy warm blanket convinces with its authentic design and its incredible warmth.
Thanks to the dense weave and the naturally preserved wool grease, it is very heavy with approx. 1150gr per m². The warmth under the blanket hardly escapes to the outside.
It is made from pure sheep's wool, which comes from mountain sheep in the region. To ensure that the valuable lanolin (wool fat) remains in the fur, the wool is washed exclusively in spring water. The lanolin ensures that the blanket is insensitive to dirt and allows it to be almost waterproof.
Made as in the Middle Ages: They are made with the hand-spun wool on old wooden looms. As a loom only has a width of approx. 70cm, the blankets are hand-sewn together from 2-3 individual pieces.
The wool is not dyed, except for the partially coloured stripes that our blankets have. These are dyed with natural means, such as onion skin. So they are far away from chemicals!
