German Frog-Mouth Helm hat at 1500 made of 1.6mm thick steel
This beautifully crafted helmet is a faithful replica of a South German helmet from the early 16th century.
This form developed at the beginning of the 15th century from the bucket helmet. It was a pure tournament helmet, which was worn in connection with stinging or stabbing equipment.
It consists of a serrated crown plate, a front helmet wall and a rear helmet wall. The 3 helmet parts are connected with original and decorative brass rivets.
The slits on the right and left of the helmet serve to hear better and breathe at the same time.
Under the crown plate the helmet is equipped with a cloth padding, for a pleasant wearing on the head.
