Cow mouth shoe with doubled welt-sewn outer sole.

The shoe is made of sturdy, smooth leather.

Shoes of this type were worn from the end of the 15th until the end of the 16th century. The so called renaissance, which was a fancy kind of fashion period. It was inspired by the landsknecht. Effortful tailored colorful clothes met cow mouth shoes like these.
