Viking helmet or Copperagte helmet made of 1.6mm thick steel with butted aventail - battle ready!
This Viking or Coppergate helmet was made after an original find from the 8th century. The original is exhibited today in the Yorkshire Museum in York.
It was made of 1.6mm thick steel and also has decorative brass applications with engravings.
The chain fountain was made of unriveted galvanized rings.
A leather inlay and chinstrap was fitted into the helmet for attachment to the head.
