Churburg armour of 1 mm thick steel
This armour was based on an original from the armoury of the Churburg, South Triol.
The armour of the Churburg was made by the Plattner in Milan and Innsbruck.
It is made of 1 mm thick steel and was cut so that a padded undergarment such as a gambeson and other armour parts can be combined without any problems.
The lower part of the armour also encloses the lower back half or the kidney area. In addition, 2 leather straps that cross each other have been added for optimal attachment and can be individually adapted to the wearer.
