Chainmail shirt or Hauberk made of riveted, round chain rings (round rivets), galvanised, Ø 9 mm
This chainmail shirt or Hauberk was also made round chain rings, which were riveted by means of round rivets. The surface of the rings was galvanized, so they offer a certain protection against rust.
Available in 3 different sizes!
In the Middle Ages this chainmail shirt was called "Hauberk" because of its long sleeves and knee length.
The sleeves are tapered, they became tighter by 1 ring every 5 cm.
In the Middle Ages, the chainmail shirt was extended by frontal or lateral slits for better legroom. This even made it possible to ride comfortably on horses.
Our Hauberk is generally not slit, so that it can be adjusted individually.
Rings details:
Rings inner diameter: approx. 9 mm
Ring thickness: approx. 1,5 mm
Material: steel, galvanized
