This chainmail shirt or Haubergeon was made from flat chain rings and closed by means of wedge rivets (triangular rivets).
This type of braiding is typical for ring armour of the European late Middle Ages.
The name "Haubergeon" is given to this chainmail shirt, because it is a half to short sleeved chainmail shirt, which reaches straight to the thigh.
