Chainmail collar (bishop's collar) made of riveted and punched rings, ō 8mm
This chainmail collar (or bishop collar) consists of 2 types of rings. One row was made from riveted rings, the next from punched rings. The weave is 4 in 1.
At the neck 2 size-adjustable leather straps were riveted, which make it easier to put on and take off.
Also in the Middle Ages, chain skirts, chain shirts etc. were made in this way, as it was not so time-consuming.
It is intended to protect the neck, shoulders, upper chest and back. It was already popular in the 15 - 16th century.
