Late medieval steel chainmail collar, 8mm
This chainmail collar (or bishop collar) consists of 2 types of rings. One row was made from riveted rings, the next from punched rings. Also in the Middle Ages, chain skirts, chain shirts, etc. were made in this way, as it was not so time-consuming and costly. Weave type is 4 in 1.
This type of chainmail collar was worn in the late Middle Ages and is therefore well suited to represent the late Middle Ages.
They were sewn or nested to the clothing for optimal hold.
