Late medieval steel chain collar, ō 8mm
This chainmail collar was made of flat chain mailrings throughout, which were closed by means of wedge rivets (triangular rivets). This type of braiding is typical for ring armour of the European late Middle Ages.
The weave is 4 in 1.
This type of chainmail collar was worn in the late Middle Ages and is therefore well suited to represent the late Middle Ages.
They were sewn or nested to the clothing for optimal hold.
