Chainmail coif made of punched and riveted rings, Ø 6mm
This chainmail coif consists of 2 types of rings. One row was made of riveted rings, the next of punched rings. Also in the Middle Ages chain skirts, chain shirts etc. were made in this way, because it was not and still is not so time-consuming.
This makes it possible to use rings made of steel with a thickness of only 1mm without losing their strength. Through this a weight reduction of 30-35% is achieved.
It completely covers the shoulder and has a square face cutout. We recommend wearing a padded arming cap underneath.
