chainmail aventail made of unriveted rings of spring steel, Ø 8 mm
This chainmail aventail was made from unriveted rings of spring steel. Due to its price-performance ratio, it is ideal for beginners who still value good protection and solid quality. The braiding is 4 in 1.
In the Middle Ages, chainmail aventail were attached to helmets such as nose helmets or, above all, to late medieval pelvic hoods. They were worn as additional neck and shoulder protection.
The rim was made of thick cowhide, which was sewn to the chain mesh. The fastening holes for the helmet must be made by the customer himself.
