Renaissance cabasset 16th century made of 1.6mm thick steel
This helmet is a replica of a north Italian Cabasset from the late 16th century. They were very common especially among foot soldiers and were in use throughout Europe until about the middle of the 17th century.
Pear helmets developed from wolfsbane at the beginning of the 16th century and were also based on the Spanish morion forms.
It was made of 1.6mm thick steel.
For the attachment on the head the helmet has a very comfortable leather inlay inside.
