Buckler with 4 plates - in 3 different sizes

This buckler or fist shield was used from the High Middle Ages to the Renaissance in combination with a one-handed sword.

On the outside 4 fittings were riveted on, which should strengthen the buckler.

On the back a steel handle was attached, which was wrapped in leather.
