The Vegvisir comes from Iceland and translates as "signpost". It is a symbol in Norse mythology and is mentioned only once in writing, in the so-called Huld Manuscript. In it is a collection of magical words and sigils (graphic symbols that usually contain combined letters). About the Vegvísir it says roughly translated: "When that symbol is wielded, the bearer shall not be lost in storm or wind, even if the path ahead is unknown." Some people believe that the Vegvísir has magical powers and can help them find their way in life. Others believe that it is simply a symbol of good luck.

This bracer is made of high quality cowhide leather and features a detailed embossing of a vegvísir. The surface and edges are polished and finished with a light color, for a characteristic used look. Thus, it is well suited for Viking representation.
